What is open source, and what does it mean to you?

-read the wikipedia article dedicated to defining  the term open source

-follow at least 5 links. copy and paste these links into your (wiki) workspace, AND to our common "link pile," or Course Readings page, which you can find in the sidebar on this and every page on our wiki. Why did you choose these links? Where did they take you? Tell your peers.

-find a point where you would like to add, alter, or edit the text of the wikipedia article, or the text of any of the links you followed. Copy and paste that text to your (wiki) workspace, and give attribution. Begin writing your additions/revisions on our wiki.
