4. Music Downloads & CD & DVD Burner on 2 computers (not all)
5. Compatible with Windows
6. Email capabilities.
7. Journalism for kids program
8. Graphic capabilities
9. Internet access for 2 computers in the Youth Community Center
10. Spy ware
11. Technical Support
12. 2 students to help beginning Jan. 1 with the Youth Anchor's fro Christ Broadcast Ministry (must know video production).
13. Web design student
14. Upgrades once a month by the technical support not the students.
pat would add:
animation, video and music editing an recording, financial software (money management), encyclopedia, mapping software, video game production – if possible.
access to programs that help with literacy and math skills of all ages.
Some are accessible on the net, but most you have to purchase. (BENCHMARK OPEN SOURCE ALTERNATIVES)

Need to address educational issues for ages 2-20.
Also, some of colleagues thought to draw kids into the youth house, we would need to have the appearance of new computers – flat screen monitors would work,
but it may be cheaper to "case mod" them (a craft fair to inaugerate and announce the migration to a new OS)
the GUI will be different (ubuntu) so that might also mark the change.
Amanda: fliers? radio advert/podcast? quick video production for youtube and embedding on the web site? Other conscise technical documents informing/educating/advertising the new fast computer network will help
