My hat goes off to any teacher out there that does what I am trying to do. It amazes me that there are teachers out there that not only teach a full day but also take classes and might even work a second job. Yet they still find time to take care of the duties that their day jobs require. It could be that since I am staring from the barest of scratch, and have to make my unit plans from the sub basement up, I spend more time staring at my students homework and grading their tests. I dunno. I wasn’t one of those people who wanted to teach from an early point in their lives. Me? I never really pinned down exactly what I wanted to do. Although being rich was one of the prerequisites. And if that ids the case, how the hell did I end up as a teacher? I will give extra credit to anyone who can answer that question. Because, I am at a loss.

I have always been a ham and desired to be the center of attention, always enjoyed reading and writing. Not really a grammar fiend, but I try to speak and write well.

I have found myself actually teaching seniors at a school here in New Port Richey, and I am loving it. I won’t lie and say that all the students are great and little angels, hell some have come close to getting me angry, but it was easy enough to block that out. For the past two weeks or so, the students have been mine to teach, and it has been fun. I know for a fact that there are a few that aren’t that fond of me because I don’t let them get away with much and shut them down when things begin to get out of hand. But I also know that there are more students that like me than not, and that is a pretty cool feeling.

Some may find this song a little on the hokey side, but I kinda' like it.
